A key component of the YouthForce NOLA strategy is to build the capacity of schools so that students graduate ready for post-secondary success, including not only college-ready academic skills, but also soft skills, technical skills, and work experience. A recent study found that students completing rigorous career pathways programs of study are more likely to graduate from high school, enroll in college, be employed, and earn higher wages.
“YouthForce NOLA expands our ability to prepare students for their futures; more students will earn industry recognized credentials and more will be prepared for post-secondary pathways because of this support.” – Warren Easton Charter High School Principal Alexina Medley
