Soft Skills Teacher Fellowship

Soft skills are essential for doing well in school, work, and life. That’s why we’re emphasizing training in these foundational social, emotional, and cognitive skills as a core component of our work to prepare New Orleans public high school students for the successful pursuit of high-wage, high-demand career pathways.

YouthForce NOLA’s Soft Skills Teacher Fellowship is designed to help teachers learn, practice, and spread soft skills instruction across their schools as well as help their students develop skills critical for educational, career and life success. Over the course of the school year, our fellows consider and measure what is possible for students when essential skills such as collaboration, communication, planning for success, personal mindset, problem solving, and social awareness are incorporated into their daily learning.
