AJ is a self-described “curriculum nerd.” Prior to joining YouthForce NOLA, she worked in high schools, teaching such classes as U.S. History and ancient literature. AJ earned a Master of Museum Science, completed her teacher credentialing through Northeastern State University of Oklahoma, and has a B.F.A. in Painting & Sculpture from Loyola New Orleans. AJ is excited about collaborating with new colleagues and reaching young people from a variety of schools. She is committed to using her experiences to create engaging learning experiences and materials for YouthForce’s intern cohorts. During her downtime, you can find her brainstorming increasingly ambitious Mardi Gras costumes and planning her next travel adventure.
