Shania comes from a background of 5 years in education working in various charter schools and non-profit organizations in the Greater New Orleans area. Prior to her adult career, Shania has worked with youth in various capacities since the age of 12. Shania is a native of Lynchburg, Virginia where she obtained her B.A in Sociology from Randolph College. Shania believes in being an advocate for children due to the traumas and adversities she has faced. Shania aspires and has shown to be the person that she needed growing up to be successful for the youth she has served. Shania recently graduated from Southern University of New Orleans in May 2024 with her Masters of Social Work degree and is currently working on obtaining her LMSW. Shania decided to pursue a career in social work, because she believes she can be more effective as an advocate for children in this capacity opposed to the limitations she faced as an educator. She believes that being the Intern Supports Manager is the perfect opportunity for her not only to be able to bond and advocate with the interns we serve, but to also coach and support other adults on how to do the same with empathy, fidelity, and success!
